On August 18, 2024, OnePlus took another significant step in expanding its product ecosystem by announcing the launch of the OnePlus Watch 2 and OnePlus Buds Z3. These new devices are designed to seamlessly integrate with OnePlus smartphones, offering users a connected and immersive experience.
The OnePlus Watch 2 builds on the success of its predecessor with several key upgrades. The smartwatch features a larger 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate, providing smoother animations and improved touch responsiveness. The design remains sleek and minimalist, with options for both silicone and leather straps.
Under the hood, the OnePlus Watch 2 is powered by a new Snapdragon Wear 5100 chipset, ensuring better performance and energy efficiency. The watch offers up to 14 days of battery life on a single charge, and with OnePlus' Warp Charge technology, users can get a full day's worth of power in just 5 minutes.
Health and fitness tracking are central to the OnePlus Watch 2, which includes enhanced sensors for heart rate monitoring, SpO2 measurement, and sleep tracking. It also supports over 110 workout modes, making it a versatile companion for fitness enthusiasts. The watch is water-resistant up to 5ATM and includes GPS, making it ideal for outdoor activities.
OnePlus has also introduced new smart features, such as "Zen Mode Air," which syncs with the OnePlus 12 to minimize distractions during work or relaxation. The watch is also compatible with Google Assistant, allowing users to control smart home devices and manage their schedules directly from their wrist.
Alongside the smartwatch, OnePlus unveiled the OnePlus Buds Z3, the latest addition to its true wireless earbuds lineup. The Buds Z3 feature active noise cancellation (ANC) and a transparency mode, allowing users to block out external noise or stay aware of their surroundings with a simple touch.
The earbuds deliver impressive audio quality, thanks to 11mm dynamic drivers and Dolby Atmos support. The OnePlus Buds Z3 are designed to be lightweight and comfortable, with an IP55 rating for water and dust resistance. They are available in two color options: Obsidian Black and Pearl White, and are priced at $99, making them an affordable yet feature-rich option in the market.
Both the OnePlus Watch 2 and OnePlus Buds Z3 are set to be available for purchase starting September 1, 2024, through OnePlus’ official website and authorized retailers.
